Looking for the best Kindle Unlimited Books of February 2024? Here are my top 5 thriller/mystery recommendations.
Note: This post was originally posted in 2023 but updated February 10th, 2024.
I love reading people’s book recommendations, but sometimes I wish there was a filter to just find books that are available through my Kindle Unlimited membership. If you’re a fan of thrillers and psychological suspense books – you’re in the right place. And if you’re not a fan of those genres *yet* – consider giving one of these a try. Almost every one has a romance storyline weaved in one way or another, if that helps convince you at all…! All good gateways.
What is the difference between Kindle Unlimited and Prime reading?
Kindle Unlimited offers a much larger selection of books vs. Amazon Prime reading. The subscription is $11.99 per month, which in my opinion is worth it if you plan to read more than one book a month. Kindle Unlimited does have its limits – not ALL titles are included. I find 3/5 of the books I want to read are on Unlimited, and if they aren’t available right away, I put them on my Good Reads list and check back in a month or two – tons of new books get added every month. So many of my current favorite authors have books within the Kindle Unlimited Library. If you want to try it out, you can sign up for a Kindle Unlimited free trial to see if it’s a good fit for you!
To make your life a little easier, I rounded up a few of my recent favorites that I would definitely recommend (in no particular order) that are available on Kindle Unlimited February 2024. Enjoy!
Best Kindle Unlimited Books of February 2023/2024
Twenty Years Later: A Riveting New Thriller
1. Twenty Years Later – Charlie Donlea
THRILLER – I tried this book as it was recommended for readers who liked Verity (which, didn’t everyone?!). A little bit of a trigger warning with 9/11 being part of the story – but other than that, this one kept me guessing until the end! Hiding her own dark past in plain sight, TV reporter Avery Mason is determined to uncover the truth behind a gruesome murder decades after the investigation was abandoned. But to understand the present, you need to listen to the past… The twisted puzzle of the deceased’s private life is just the beginning. And what Avery doesn’t realize is that there are other players in the game who are interested in Avery’s own secret past—one she has kept hidden from both the network executives and her television audience. A secret she thought was dead and buried.
2. The Perfect Marriage – Jeneva Rose
PSYCHOLOGICAL SUSPENSE/ROMANCE – This has been compared to Gone Girl – and was recently announced that it will be turned into a movie! I will say the actual *writing* of it wasn’t the best, and it’s a little vulgar at times. Sarah Morgan is a successful and powerful defense attorney and life is going exactly how she planned. The same cannot be said for her husband, Adam. He is a struggling writer who has had little success in his career. He begins to tire of his and Sarah’s relationship as she is constantly working. Out in the secluded woods, at Adam and Sarah’s second home, Adam engages in a passionate affair with Kelly Summers. Then, one morning everything changes. Adam is arrested for Kelly’s murder. Sarah soon finds herself playing the defender for her own husband, a man accused of murdering his mistress. Is he guilty?
3. The Last Mrs. Parrish – Liv Constantine
2024 NOTE: This book as of February 2024 is no longer included on Kindle Unlimited, though I would still highly recommend it!
PSYCHOLOGICAL SUSPENSE – For some reason, I love a good book where you get a glimpse into wealthy life, but something might be a little off (more money, more problems, right?). This one follows a coolly manipulative woman and a wealthy “golden couple,” from a stunning new voice in psychological suspense. In the story, we follow Amber as she tries to escape her past and her lackluster life by attempting to seduce a rich man, Jackson Parrish. The only problem with the plan is that he’s already married. How far will she go to get what she wants? I definitely didn’t see the twist at the end of this one…!
4. The Good Lie – A.R. Torre
PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER – Part serial killer story, part court drama, part romance. Good if you like true crime (maybe not one to read before bed if you get easily spooked). You’ll trust everyone and no one at the same time. Psychiatrist Dr. Gwen Moore is an expert on killers. She’s spent a decade treating California’s most depraved predators and unlocking their motives—predators much like the notorious Bloody Heart serial killer, who has taken six victims already. When his seventh victim escapes and points the finger at a local teacher as the serial killer, the police are satisfied and ready to call it case closed. But Robert Kavin, the father of a deceased victim, doesn’t believe it, so he asks Dr. Gwen Moore to step in and help. But the more she digs, the more questions she has. Because it seems everyone involved is hiding secrets. So what is the real truth?
5. Every Last Secret – A.R. Torre
MYSTERY/THRILLER – Cat Winthorpe has what every woman in town wants: money, beauty, and social standing. She also has a successful and handsome husband who is devoted to her. Or at least that’s what she thought, until a new neighbor, Neena Ryder, moves in next door and starts working for William. Neena wants everything Cat has, and she’ll do whatever it takes to get it all. As Neena’s secret fixation grows, so does her friendship with Cat. But beneath their cordial interactions is a wealth of temptations, secrets, and toxic jealousy. For both women, the desire for a perfect life can turn perfectly dangerous.
