I’m sharing my honest Spanx AirEssentials Pique Jumpsuit Review – including petite sizing!

Spanx clothes tend to be a little higher priced, but I’m on a mission for quality over quantity when it comes to new clothes. Are there dupes for Spanx items? Yes. Will the quality be the same? No. And I’m finally to the age where I realize that buying the real thing can save you money if it keeps you from buying multiple cheaper versions of the thing you want, vs. just buying what you want in the first place.
Spanx AirEssentials Pique Jumpsuit
End rant. ENTER – the new Spanx AirEssentials Pique Jumpsuit. It caught my eye because 1) I love a jumpsuit (especially a Spanx jumpsuit, I live in this one during the winter) and 2) it’s the first jumpsuit from Spanx with “take off tech” – and honestly the first brand I’ve seen do the easy bathroom access with a long sleeve style (this Lululemon dress was my first active dress with this feature and I have a hard time going back to any active dress that doesn’t have easy bathroom access now!).
This jumpsuit has it all – pockets, a relaxed fit, side pockets, a convenient front zipper, soft AirEssentials fabric, easy bathroom access, all with a sporty look.

I love that I can literally throw this jumpsuit on, slide into sneakers or slides, and instantly look like I tried — even when I didn’t. It’s polished with little effort, which is my ideal scenario. The mockneck style gives it an elevated feel, while the sleeveless cut makes it perfect for layering or wearing on its own.
True to Spanx form, the fabric is incredibly soft and stretchy, without losing its shape – something I’ve noticed all Spanx clothes excel at. The Pique AirEssentials fabric has a subtly textured look with beautiful drape that feels so comfy! I love the mockneck design as I’m a sucker for a high neck style – I think it helps it look more elevated and dressy if you want it to. You can also flip the collar down.

The “take off tech” essentially means the jumpsuit is bathroom friendly – I tried to take a picture to give a visual! I can confirm, it is super easy to go to the bathroom in. It’s connected in the front, but detached in the back – with enough overlap that it doesn’t gape or peekaboo while you’re wearing it. Gone are the days of dreading getting naked in a public bathroom because you’re wearing a jumpsuit – thank goodness. And this also makes it great for mom life (and if you’re a nursing mom, it’s breastfeeding-friendly!)
Also – because of the “take off tech,” you can layer on a top layer – think sweatshirt or light jacket – and still to go to the bathroom without taking all of your layers off. Win!

Spanx Jumpsuit Sizing
I’m 5’2″ wearing a Petite XS and feel that it fits true to size, if not a smidge big. It is a little roomy up top – but not in a way that would bother me, and it would definitely be accommodating for larger busts. I find this true of other Spanx jumpsuits I own as well.
The Spanx AirEssentials Pique sleeveless mockneck jumpsuit comes in three different colors – a tan, navy or poppy red. If you’ve been eyeing this piece, let this be your sign to go for it. It’s mom-life approved, versatile, and feels like wearing a cloud!
Hi! Reviews say it snags easily. Do you find this to be the case?
I’ve worn it quite a bit and have only had one snag so far, but was able to fix it by poking/pulling the thread through the back like you would on a knit sweater. I also wash it inside out and lay flat to dry which can’t hurt!
I have one that I’ve only worn twice and I have 5 snags in it. I don’t even know how they happen. I’m not getting to crazy in this jumpsuit.
