You know when you see something and BOOM. You instantly crave it?
That was me the other night. Saw an e-mail from Chick-fil-A announcing that their seasonal peach milkshake is back and I couldn’t get it off my mind. But, I didn’t want to leave the house or ruin my clean day of eating, so I whipped up something I thought would cure the craving and…let me tell you. What I made was SO good, I feel obligated – and confident enough – to share!
It’s just as creamy and sweet as the real thing, and the texture is spot on – thick like a shake.
And no, you can’t taste the cottage cheese.
DISCLAIMER: When I originally made this recipe, I only had mango chunks on hand – and if I’m being honest, I actually prefer it with mango! So if you really trust me, do mango – it’ll still come out tasting like Chick-Fil-A’s peach shake, I promise! Mango is naturally a little sweeter + the texture blends better.
Healthy Peach Milkshake Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 cup frozen peach chunks (or frozen mango, which I would recommend more – read note above!)
- 3/4 cup milk (I love Fairlife)
- 1/3 cup cottage cheese
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp sugar (add more if you prefer it sweeter!)
How to make this Healthy Copycat Chick-fil-A Peach Milkshake:
It couldn’t be easier.
- Add frozen peaches or mango, milk, cottage cheese, vanilla extract and sugar to a blender and blend until smooth.
- Taste! Too thick? Add a splash more milk. Not sweet enough? Add more sugar!
I’m telling you – the cottage cheese adds a creaminess that makes this feel way more indulgent vs. when you use greek yogurt and it comes out tasting like a smoothie, not a milkshake. Using real sugar vs. stevia also makes it taste like the real thing. Add more sweetener if you like things on the sweeter side! Garnish with a peach if you’re feeling fancy.
Why you should make this healthy Copycat Chick-fil-A Peach Milkshake recipe:
- If you’re trying to cure a Chick-fil-a peach milkshake craving, this will kick it. I promise.
- This is way healthier than the real thing!
- The milk + cottage cheese packs a protein punch naturally, which will leave you satisfied vs. empty calories.
- You could totally get away with having this for breakfast–it’s practically a smoothie (only…better!).
Even if you’re not a big cottage cheese person, I encourage you to try this out – my husband couldn’t tell it was healthy and gave it a big thumbs up even after finding out what was in it. And for me? Well, I’ve had this four days in a row now, it’s that good.
I’d love to hear your thoughts if you give this healthy Copycat Chick-fil-A Peach Milkshake try!
