Top 7 Best Non Alcoholic Drinks to Try in 2024 (Perfect for Dry January)

Here are my top 7 Best Non-Alcoholic Drinks to Try in 2024, perfect for getting you through dry January!

Mocktail recipes aside, you can’t beat the convenience of grabbing a prepackaged non-alcoholic drink on your way to a friends, or just to have on hand at home. The good news? New non-alcoholic drinks are popping up left and right, making Dry January more easily tolerable than in the past. The bad news? Not all non-alcoholic options are great. I’ve tried a lot of the good, the bad, and the in-between!

Why drink non-alcoholic beverages?

I love to have some sort of drink while cooking dinner (especially in the summer!) and while my go-to was usually wine or a beer, I hated how unproductive it made me after dinner. A little *too* relaxed, where I was more apt to pour one more glass vs. do one more task (I can’t be the only one). So, I started leaning into NA drinks over the last year or so as a healthier weeknight drink alternative.

Fast forward – I now choose NAs for a multitude of reasons! Fewer calories, no hangover, no worry driving. And now that I’m pregnant, I hardly feel like I’m missing out on anything (bonus: it’s a lot easier to hide you’re pregnant when you already regularly drink NAs!).

Top 7 Best Non-Alcoholic Drinks

Whether you’re looking to create a healthier habit, want to cut back on drinking, or just get through Dry January, I hope this list leads you to a new favorite non-alcoholic drink!

Note that I’ve narrowed it down to best nonalcoholic drinks that you should be able to find at your local grocery store or readily on Amazon.

1. Athletic Brewing Free Wave Hazy IPA

Athletic Brewing has quickly become my favorite non-alcoholic beer, and I love that it is getting more and more common on bar/restaurant menus! They have a few variations (IPA, Pale Ale, Hazy IPA), but their IPAs are my favorite. Tastes and looks just like the real thing and bonus points for usually being able to order while dining out!

2. Partake Brewing IPA

First off – can we appreciate the packaging on these? They are adorable! But more importantly, Partake makes a fantastic non alcoholic IPA – and bonus points for looking like a real IPA. I love to pour these into a chilled beer mug!

3. TÖST Rosé

I adore TÖST, especially the rosé. A white tea-based drink, it’s my go-to prosecco replacement because it bubbles up just like champagne. Perfect for a celebration or special occasion! I have taken this to nicer restaurants and asked for a champagne bucket and flutes – no one can tell it’s not real champagne or rosé. It makes an excellent NA-mimosa and would be a great option to have at a baby shower. It has a dry finish and is not overly sweet, which I appreciate (as opposed to typical sparkling grape juice where you’re drinking straight-up fruit juice).

WARNING: TÖST is VERY carbonated – keep this in mind when opening! Open slowly.

Where to buy: TOST, Amazon

lagunitas NA hoppy refresher

4. Lagunitas Hoppy Refresher

Like an IPA-seltzer hybrid. Hard to explain, but the taste and carbonation are so refreshing and crisp. It’s made with yeast and hops, so it tastes like a hoppy beer. And at zero calories, you can’t beat it! They have recently added flavors like Blood Orange and Berry Lemon in a variety pack, but I prefer the OG original! A great daytime summer drink.

Warning: If you pour this into a glass, you might be surprised to find that it’s clear. Don’t let that deter you – it still packs tons of flavor!

Where to buy: Target, Amazon, Whole Foods

lagunitas IPNA beer

5. Lagunitas IPNA Dry Hopped Non-Alcoholic IPA Beer

Yet another great IPA that is making its way onto more and more bar/restaurant menus in addition to grocery stores! And I love that is one of the few NA beers that comes in a classic bottle. A great craft IPA alternative, I don’t feel like I’m missing out at all when I have these.

Where to buy: Target

best day brewing NA IPA

6. Best Day Brewing West Coast IPA

Another great NA beer (though it ranks a little lower on my list than the ones above!). I actually discovered this one at my gym, Lifetime! Beautiful copper color when poured but a little less hop-forward than the others on this list – if that’s important to you, maybe try a different one! Best Day Brewing also has a Hazy IPA, Kölsch, and Electro-Lime. I’d recommend picking up a variety pack!

7. Clausthaler Grapefruit

These taste JUST like a Sigleir Radler or Ruby Red Grapefruit. A great brunch or daydrinking beer – but also good all year round! Note your first sip might smell a little skunky – but it doesn’t taste skunky at all. If the smell bothers you, know it fades fairly quickly, or you could pour it into a mug/glass to help it dissipate faster. I don’t mind it!

96 calories. 50% NA malt beverage and 50% grapefruit drink. Brewed and bottled in Germany, which is fun! My local grocery store just started carrying these around the holidays.

What to Do When A Restaurant Doesn’t Have Non-Alcoholic Drinks

If you find yourself in a pinch at a restaurant or bar without any alcohol-free drinks on the menu, I’ve found luck in simply asking for them to make one! If you ask for some sort of non-alcoholic mocktail, they’re usually able to come up with something fun and creative. And when in doubt, there’s nothing wrong with a little ginger beer or soda water/tonic water with fresh lime juice.

I’d love to hear your favorite go-to NA drinks or thoughts if you’ve tried any of the ones on this list!

How to dry hydrangeas for the fall! The best DIY f How to dry hydrangeas for the fall! The best DIY fall decor ✨The key here is picking your hydrangea stems just as they’re starting to turn color, rinsing them in soapy water to get rid of bugs, then using the evaporation method to dry flowers so the water evaporates and doesn’t mold the stems - but the stems dry happy and keep the flowers the color you picked them at. Optional - spray with hairspray to keep them from shedding. These dried hydrangeas will last you all year! Go pick your stems before it’s too late…!

SO happy with how this DIY IKEA Pax closet turned SO happy with how this DIY IKEA Pax closet turned out (my second time building one!) - my only regret is not doing it sooner. All that’s left is doing one other corner + trim, but I’m impatient so you can find me moving clothes in and organizing for the foreseeable future 👗👚🧥SIDENOTE: The new Pax 2.0 are 100x easier to put together than the original - but look the same and are compatible with earlier Pax. I’m a big fan! #ikea #ikeapax #diycloset #paxwardrobes #ikeahack
