This is my go-to rosé sangria recipe that is the perfect batch cocktail for hosting. It’s delicious, easy to prepare ahead of time, and able to be customized with fresh fruit for each season!
Making a batch cocktail when hosting is one of THE best entertaining tricks. It’s a huge time saver and ensures that you can enjoy and be present with your guests, rather than being stuck behind the bar making individual drinks for everyone.
The more that you can do ahead of time so you can do less once people arrive, the better! This rosé sangria recipe is perfect because it’s meant to be prepped a few hours in advance so it can meld together and get better with time.
Prep, forget, then serve when people arrive!
What type of wine should you use in sangria?
Many classic sangria recipes call for dry red wine or white wine, but I love the crispness of a bubbly rosé best! It’s a crowd-pleasing in-between of dry wine and sweet wine. My favorite is La Marca Prosecco Rosé. It’s the perfect blend of traditional prosecco and pinot noir, with notes of white flowers, peach, and pear, blending with hints of ripe red cherry, raspberry, and wild strawberry (hint: these would all be a good option for fresh fruit additions!).
Bonus – using rosé will give your sangria a beautiful distinctive pink color!
Here’s what you’ll need to make this easy Rosé Sangria Recipe
- 1 bottle La Marca Prosecco Rosé
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Grand Marnier)
- Club soda or soda water (to top off before serving, optional)
- Fresh seasonal fruit (grapefruit, orange slices, apples, peaches, pears, raspberries, citrus – whatever is in season!)
- Large pitcher (this $13 pitcher from Target is my favorite)
Tip: I find this combination to be the perfect perfect balance of sweetness, but if you prefer your sangria sweeter, add 1/4 cup of simple syrup or add more juice. Sometimes I will add a splash of grapefruit juice for taste and to enhance the color!
How to Make Easy Rosé Sangria
- Wash and cut your seasonal fruit into slices, then add to a large pitcher.
- Add orange juice, orange liqueur, and rosé wine.
- Mix together, cover, and for best results, place in the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Before serving, top off with soda water and gently mix to combine. This adds volume and bubbles!
- Pour into individual glasses filled with ice and garnish with fresh fruit!
Serving tip: Have a tray with extra fruit to garnish that also has skewers. Use the skewers to eat the wine-soaked fruit in the sangria! Who doesn’t love a little snack with their cocktail?
Fall sangria variation tip: Lean into apples, pears, and cranberries. Garnish with a few sprigs of thyme or rosemary.
Summer sangria variation tip: Lean into peaches, fresh strawberries, grapefruit, and citrus. Garnish with a spring of fresh mint.
Make it your own! Use this recipe as a base to make your own. Experiment with dry wine, sweet wine or dry rosé. Or, opt for a tried and true red sangria or white sangria. Use different fruit! The best part is that this recipe is minimal effort, hard to mess up, and is the perfect summer drink for a hot day or girls night.
